Background Information
CD95 (also known as Fas, Apo-1, or TNFRSF6) is a 40–50 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily. It is broadly expressed on both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, including monocytes, neutrophils, fibroblasts, and activated T and B lymphocytes, with expression levels increasing upon cellular activation.
